As a stage 3 melanoma survivor, Stacey is also on a mission to save lives by educating others about skin. She has strived to keep cancer awareness in the spotlight through appearances before the state legislature, annual trips to Washington DC on behalf of the American Cancer Society, and as media chair for the Cancer Action Network. Stacey participated in a call to action for skin cancer by the US Attorney General, and was able to share her story at the National Press Club. She was featured on NBC Nightly News and has appeared in hundreds of magazines and newspapers around the country.
